Tackle: The two most popular methods are Popping and Jigging followed by Trolling and live/dead bait fishing. The ideal rods and reels used for each of these styles is very different as are the lures.
Lures: There is a huge variety of lures used for Top water fishing (Poppers and Stick baits) with weights of the lures varying from 25 grams to 150 grams and styles and patterns to numerous to list. Jigs vary according to the style of fishing and the depth of water, one is fishing in. Deeper water requires heavier Jigs and lighter lines.
